The bonsai has been cultivated for centuries, for its ties to harmony and for its beautiful decoration. Being subjected to daily levels of stress and chaos, our world is forced to endure extreme levels of chaos. Even with the fast pace of the world today, bonsai art has the ability to show an environment of tranquility. It will make things easier if you know the way that the ancient peoples used this art form.

Bonsai

The history of this pursuit began in early China, during the Han Dynasty, nearly 2000 years ago. Here the trees were pruned to a smaller size so that their trunks could resemble things like animals, dragons, or birds. The unique trunk of the bonsai has lent itself to having many different legends over the years. However, the typical way that trees are trimmed today is to allow their foliage to be prominent over any bark images. Therefore, you have two examples of bonsai art which are cherished.

After Japan and China began mixing their cultural influences, the bonsai tree began gaining prominence in Japan, too. The art form gained a major status symbol as it was adopted first by Buddhist monks, then by the general aristocracy. Throughout this period and ensuing years, Japan had a monopoly in bonsai art. This did not remain the case for long, however, as the art form became highly sought after once the North American continent became exposed to its serenity and beauty.

The miniature bonsai trees are a unique art form that has a rich history all over the world. Sadly, these lovely trees were seen for a long time as being seen only for the rich or privileged religious, but thanks to current technology, that is no longer true. Through the purchase of the bonsai tree, a person can bring part of the past into the present world. Never in the past has it been so easy or enjoyable to be in the artistic field.

Cultivating a solitary indoor bonsai tree can be a great hobby. The key is to know which tree is perfect for indoors and which one can be trained to live for many years in a container, or bonsai pot. One of the easiest resources for finding a perfect tree and finding information on how to keep it alive is the internet, as there are many sites on the subject.

Visiting a Japanese bonsai tree garden can teleport a person back to another era. The bonsai art when done correctly takes on a life of its own and a person will marvel at the majestic beauty that these little giants offer. While it may require you using the internet in order to see these trees at their natural splendor, it is absolutely recommended that you see the gardens in their native environment. You might never be able to afford to make the trip the wonderful country of Japan, but you are still going to be able to enjoy the sites thanks to the internet.
